My happy place? Me, on a beach, in a swimsuit.
Over the years, I’ve grown to love a few brands that consistently deliver the best quality. I keep coming back to them, and they’ve remained a staple in my rotation. I love them because they’re classic, timeless, and their styles always hold up.
I’m starting this list out with the very first swimwear brand I recall having an affinity for – Solid & Striped. They design classic silhouettes with a bit of a twist but I always look back at the swimsuits I’ve worn over the years and miss many of them. I wish I still had the below gingham. I’ve been eyeing the Anne-Marie Luxe Ribbed in Red. The Anne-Marie always fits so incredibly well!
I have a few Eres suits and they’re hands down my favorite. I wear them year after year and they always made it to my packing list. The quality is simply unparalleled. This black one piece always flies out of stock so I’m hoping to pull the trigger on it soon. It’s pricey for a swimsuit but I swear they last and wear well for years.
Speaking of amazing quality, Lisa Marie has been on my rotation for many years and I love the way her suits made me feel. She’s the GOAT of swim and the quality is top notch. I also love that you really won’t find similar styles elsewhere (and if you do they are most likely copycats).
Santa Fe had been on my list for ages, and after finally visiting, I can’t believe it took me this long to get there.
From the stunning adobe architecture to the vibrant art scene and incredible food, the city completely stole my heart. It’s the perfect blend of history, culture, and a little bit of magic—plus, it would be an absolute dream destination for a girls’ trip. Whether you’re into exploring the local markets, indulging in Southwestern cuisine, or just soaking up the desert charm, Santa Fe has it all. I’m already planning my next trip back!
I do, however, wish I had packed a bit differently. I think I was overwhelmed because I’d never been to that part of the U.S before and the weather looked very chilly. Here’s what I wish I had taken with me.
Here’s my quick list of where I stayed, what I saw, and what I’d recommend.
100% without a doubt must stay at the Rosewood Santa Fe. The location was absolutely perfect and ideal for walking everywhere. It’s located right next to the heart of town, Sante Fe Plaza where you can find a marketplace on the weekends and tons of shops. Decor and service was top notch. Rooms are filled with hand-crafted wooden and leather furnishings; most rooms also feature private patios and fireplaces. Definitely do the tequila tasting!
If you’re like me, the last thing on your mind during the morning chaos of getting kids ready for school is what you’re going to wear for drop-off.
Honestly, most mornings, I’m so busy juggling backpacks, breakfast, and bathroom breaks that I just throw on whatever’s closest and hope for the best. Outside of my trusty black vest that I’ve worn (and posted about) probably 100+ times, I’ve pulled together a few outfit inspiration ideas below. Whether you’re the laid-back mom grabbing coffee after drop-off, the active mom heading out for a hike, or the busy mom heading straight to the office, here are my top 4 looks to make your mornings effortless and stylish.
For the mom heading to a coffee date with a friend after drop-off, it’s all about effortless style that feels polished but still comfortable. A relaxed sweater layered over a button down, paired with straight-leg jeans and sneakers, strikes the perfect balance.
Quilted Ranch Jacket // Doen Striped Top // The Boxy Sweater // Converse Sneakers // L.L. Bean Tote // Comme Si Socks // Citizens of Humanity Charlotte Jeans // Tennis Necklace by Bauble Bar
For the mom heading out for a post-drop-off hike or workout, comfort and function are key. Opt for high-waisted leggings or a body suit, an oversized hoodie and trench to elevate the outfit for school or grocery shopping.
Palm Springs has always been one of my favorite getaways—a place that feels like stepping into another world.
There’s something about the warm desert air, the pops of mid-century design, and the way time seems to slow down here that just resets me. Over the years, I’ve found a few spots that have become staples whenever I visit—whether it’s a cozy hotel with the best poolside views, a hidden vintage shop, or the quietest trails to clear my head. Lately I have been spending quite a bit more time in this close getaway to LA.
This guide is my personal list of favorites, tried and true, for anyone looking to soak in all the magic Palm Springs has to offer. I have also shared a little round-up of pieces I packed on my most recent trip.
The Parker – Quintessential and very “Palm Springs.” Dripping with Jonathan Adler designs and a mecca for taking Instagram-worthy images.
Sparrows Lodge – I have always wanted to stay here and love the design. My friends say it is super charming and has excellent food.
‘Tis the season for lovers.
Whether you’re celebrating with your significant other, heading out for a Galentine’s dinner, or simply indulging in some self-love, Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to get dressed up (or dressed down) in style. Here’s how I’m thinking about Valentine’s Day looks and gifts this year – effortless, chic, and a little unexpected.
For a fun evening with friends, keep things simple and classic with jeans and a long structured blazer. Add a pop of appeal with a lace bra under and sh9ow off that waist with a belt. There’s no need to go over the top with your gal pals.
Stuart Weitzman 50mm Boots // Toteme Classic Tailored Black Coat // Jennifer Fisher Samira Huggie Earrings // Fleur du Mal Bra // 90s Val Denim by Reformation // The Margo Cotton T-Shirt // Madewell Belt
Go all out with a timeless, flirty silhouette. Think a slip dress or off the shoulder in black paired with strappy heels and a statement clutch. Add a soft faux fur for chilly evenings and keep the jewelry simple yet striking – a pair of statement earrings or a bold lip is all you need.
